The Reformed Body is in its 23rd year!I am so proud of where we have come in that time and always knew Jo Pilates’ Method would be long lasting in Mont Albert!

Using my 25 year background in Exercise Physiology, I always focus on the detailed movement of the body and on improving the efficiency of the kinetic chain of movement. Dysfunction by either inactivity or overactivity in muscles and joints can cause stiffness resulting in pain and the inability to move well in life.

Why I do what I do …..

  • Because of the people I teach- you teach me so much!

  • Hearing comments on how good people feel after doing a class,

  • The firm belief I have in the benefits of good posture & knowing if done well, pain will be relieved,

  • The friends I have met in the sector and he passion I have for my  job. I also love to learn, learn learn!  One can never ever know everything about the body!

Pilates allows me to help people reconnect with their body, build resilience from the inside out, and regain confidence in movement—whether they’re recovering from injury, managing pain, or simply wanting to feel stronger and more capable in everyday life. I’m passionate about precision, individualised programming, and creating a supportive environment where clients feel seen, guided, and safe.

What I love most about Pilates is its adaptability. No two bodies are the same, and Pilates respects that. Through thoughtful cueing, tailored exercise prescription, and a strong focus on core control, posture, and breath, I help clients move with purpose—both in the studio and beyond it.

For me, teaching Pilates isn’t just about exercise. It’s about restoring trust in the body, improving quality of life, and helping people move forward with strength and confidence

My  favorite exercise is Pulling straps 1 and 2 on the reformer, Preparation for Swan on the Wunda Chair, and swan with rotation on the Wunda chair………nourishment for the spine!

I have three beautiful boys- Charlie (18), Darcy (14) and Tommy (10)). I live locally and the business is involved in the local community through donations of service for various fundraising events.

My plans for the future? To keep on spreading the word of Jo Pilates, return to mountain biking and retunr to ski in Fernie, BC, Canada.

I began my Pilates career as a mat instructor in 2014.  In teaching, I love problem solving and have immensely enjoy sharing my knowledge with my clients as I help them with their goals having fun along the way!

In my class, you’ll enjoy functional movement with the focus on breath, movement and flow. I find yoga and Pilates compliments my mental and physical limits to improve strength & flexibility. My goal for each class is to have clients walking out with a smile, mix of exhaustion and ready to start or end the day feeling amazing! My fitness philosophy is fitness should be natural, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

My favourite things are traveling, learning new things, art and design, making people sweat, listening to 3RRR, yoga and of course Pilates.

My current favourite exercise would be Rolldown on Ladder Barrel. My body just can’t get enough of this spine articulation!
